Foundation Staff

Jessica is the President of Development for the UPMC Pinnacle Foundation, a role she has served in since 2014. She is honored to lead the talented team that is the driving force behind the charitable work to support the needs oJ UPMC in Central PA.

She is a board member of the Susquehanna Valley Council of Charitable Gift Planners (SVCCGP), Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, Harristown Development Corporation, and Vista Autism Services and was a member of Leadership Harrisburg Area's Community Leadership Series Class of 2014. Jessica received a bachelor’s degree in English Communications and a Master of Business Administration from Lebanon Valley College.

Bev Bates has over 16 years of experience in Database Management. She has been with UPMC Pinnacle Foundation for 3 years. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Ariana, playing Frisbee with her dog Luca and traveling.

I am a mom of 3 amazing kids, Olivia 21, Liam 19, and Colin 16. I have a pet lizard named Uma. I live w my boyfriend Andy. I love everything Alice in Wonderland. I went to Millersville University and have a bachelor's degree in Art Ed. I previously owned my own vintage toy store as well as an art gallery when my kids were little.

Angela Bower has been with UPMC since April 2020 and has over a decade of office and project management experience including seven years as a grant coordinator for a non-profit within higher education. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family and cooking.

A Hanover native, Alix Haller brings over 16 years of fundraising experience in both non-profit and higher education. Having multiple family members working in healthcare, Alix is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of all members of the community. She is a proud mom of two, Isabella and Hunter and enjoys quality time with her family. Alix will be serving the greater Hanover area representing UPMC Hanover.

A Central Pennsylvania local, Becky brings over 10 years of diverse experience in the non-profit and event management sectors to the Foundation. Her passion lies in creating impactful events that connect people with one another and to the cause.

Outside of work, Becky can be found exploring new cuisines, tackling some new craft project, or enjoying life with her husband and two corgis.

Teri Jakob, CMM has over two decades of experience with non-profit organizations. For the last ten years, she has focused on event planning and volunteer management. As an industry leader, Teri oversees development of special events for the Foundation. As a nurse, Teri's knowledge and training have been especially helpful during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Teri has a close working relationship with the Pinnacle Health Auxiliary. Their liaison to the hospital system, she assists them with their mission to support UPMC Pinnacle in its endeavors to provide quality healthcare and health education in Central Pennsylvania. Teri’s son said it best, she makes the magic happen.

Bub Parker has made a career in relationship building for over 32 years and has specifically worked in outreach and philanthropy for over 21 years. A native of Lewistown, Pennsylvania, Bub moved to Lititz in 2019. Bub is driven to improve the quality of life in the area and is focused on helping UPMC Lititz make an impact with its patients and within the community. Bub started his tenure with the UPMC Pinnacle Foundation in October 2023 and is focused on managing annual and major giving campaigns in Lancaster County, as well as planned giving efforts for the UPMC Pinnacle system. Outside of work, Bub enjoys spending time with his wife Becky, and children Tristin and Catherine; hanging out with family and friends; playing golf and basketball; exercising; vacationing at the beach; working in the yard/gardening; baking; dancing; music and sampling bourbon.

With 14 years of nonprofit leadership and fundraising experience, Alicia brings a wealth of expertise to our organization. A proud University of Pittsburgh graduate, she's a certified Standards for Excellence® Licensed Consultant and serves on the board of The Chamber of Gettysburg and Adams County. She was named a 2024 Women of Influence Award winner by Central Penn Business Journal. Alicia's passion for nonprofit work stems from the unique, inspiring nature of each day and the opportunity to collaborate with mission-driven colleagues who are dedicated to creating positive community impact.
