The Surgical Education Fund

The General Surgery Residency Program at UPMC Central Pa. is a 5-year program that graduates 6-7 future surgeons annually and accepts 6-8 new residents each year, training them in UPMC Central Pa.'s tradition of compassionate care.

Residencies are challenging, both academically and financially. To address this, the new Surgical Education Fund will fund essential education and research opportunities not covered by traditional sources.

Gifts to the Surgical Education Fund will ensure residents can make the most of their UPMC training to provide exceptional patient care in the community.
