Imagine being in an unfamiliar place without the support system of your family and friends as you embark on greatest journey of your life.

When Eunsil Yoo learned that she and her husband were expecting their first child, they were new to the country and only just becoming acquainted with a brand new culture. An international student from South Korea, Eunsil remembers feeling overwhelmed at the idea of having a child without the support system of her friends and family back home.

Luckily, Eunsil was connected with UPMC Central Pa Nurse Family Partnership. Nurse Family Partnership became an invaluable resource for Eunsil and her growing family. From helping them navigate the healthcare system to providing them with all the items they would need for their new baby, Nurse Family Partnership prepared Eunsil and her husband to become new parents, and provided them with the support they needed to bring their daughter into world. Today, the family of three is happy and thriving.
