Timothy Deimling and Lydia Miles at UPMC Magee-Womens

Lydia and Dr. Deimling have been responsive and compassionate with me from diagnosis, through treatment, and when navigating complications. I haven’t been the easiest patient. (Sorry, Dr. Deimling for saying I never wanted to see you again when I was grumpy and tired. I didn’t mean it! Although, I hope we see each other less often.) Time with Lydia feels like a big warm hug, even when she has rotten news. I’m very grateful for folks who have empowered me to make the decisions I felt were best for my body. Thank you for repeatedly explaining things as I continue to process my diagnosis and feel scared about chronic pain. It’s a lot to wrap my brain around and I couldn’t ask for a better medical team.
